Congolese musician Koffi Olomide was arrested this morning at his home 
in an upmarket neighbourhood of Kinshasa, DRC, following a court order. 
The singer who was deported by the Kenyan government last week after a 
video emerged showing him kicking one of his female dancers at Nairobi 
Airport, is now facing possible Jail time.
The music star was handcuffed, put into a police car and taken to a 
court building where a prosecutor was waiting for him. Reports by Local 
media now indicate that he has been charged with assault and battery. 
According to BBC, Koffi who was only given only a three-month suspended 
sentence for assaulting one of his producers in 2012, could be sentenced
 to up to five years in prison if convicted.
