Enyimba captain Chinedu Udoji has said he
and his teammates are professionals and
can handle the pressure of losing at home
against Zamalek in the CAF Champions
League.
Basem Abdalla scored for Zamalek in the
8th minute following a mix up in the
Enyimba’s defence as the home team lost
0-1 to Zamalek in a group B match played at
the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium, Port
Harcourt, on Sunday, June 19.
But according to Udoji, it is not impossible
for Enyimba to go away in their next game
at Sundowns and get a good result.

Enyimba captain Chinedu Udoji has said he
and his teammates are professionals and
can handle the pressure of losing at home
against Zamalek.
The captain however expressed
disappointment that his team has not been
able to play at their Aba stadium as they
would have enjoyed maximum support from
the fans at home.

He said: “The goal Zamalek score was not a
chance, it was an error from us. We were very
unlucky and we are down because we have not
been able to win in our last five games but we
have to pick ourselves up and start doing well
again.
“Playing at the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium is
a very big disadvantage to us, we have been
used to playing in very full capacity in Aba.
Although we have been winning our games
here but today was different.
“When the Champions League started, our first
target was getting into the group stage and
now that we are here, our target is getting out
of this group.
“It is not impossible, we know we are under
pressure but we are professionals and we can
deal with pressure.”
